About Scene Shift: The Exhibit

Scene Shift: The Exhibit is a chance for the audience to get up close and personal with the work of contemporary scenic designers. Every designer has a different story to tell, sometimes that story is translated into art, and sometimes it is theatre.

Inspired by the book, Scene Shift: US Set Designers in Conversation, the exhibition will feature work by Abigail DeVille, Regina Garcia, Marsha Ginsberg, Shing Yin Khor, Mimi Lien, Collette Pollard, and Deb O among others.

This exhibition is curated by Maureen Weiss and Sibyl Wickersheimer.

About Performers:

Claire Mckeown
Claire McKeown is a Northern Irish born Los Angeles raised Opera Singer, Composer,  and Music Producer, who left the traditional Classical world over a decade ago to follow  her own path. Her past projects include: Afternoons, Dirt Bird, and most recently  Baroque pop choir, Honey Child. She reemerges in this post pandemic world on her  own with the Dreamscape Folk sounds of her new project, llulllllull.

Orcale Bird
The Oracle Bird will be appearing live at Shing Yin Khor’s The Gentle Oraclebird fortune telling cart. This is an interactive experience inspired by diaspora rituals and traditions. It started as an installation and now is a performer-led project, marking the transition of adding a performative element to their work.
