scenic design assistant job description

We want to work with someone who has skills in:

  • CAD / Drafting:

    • strong knowledge/experience in AutoCAD

    • 3d modeling in Sketch Up and Rhino 3d

    • drafting experience in Rhino 3d

  • Tertiary Knowledge of Vectorworks

  • Model Building:

    • precise and detail-oriented modeling skills

    • understanding of the materials and techniques that are used in theatrical model making

  • Research and artistic/design support

    • use of online databases, research collections, and investigation tools

    • experience in Photoshop and Creative Cloud software

  • Scenic Painting:

    • working knowledge of scenic painting techniques

  • Prop Artisan:

    • organized props management, including shopping, building small items, and interaction with production teams to accommodate rehearsal prop needs

Ideal applicants are available for 2 to 3+ days per week and able to participate on multiple projects and activities.

Salary will be discussed per applicant.
